Memetics is the second system built for Jungle Bay. The first was the Memetic Signal Protocol — a prediction reputation system. Different questions, same principle.

Can cultural intuition be measured? This was the thesis behind MSP. It answered this for predictions. Cryptographic commits on Base, exponential decay scoring, Farcaster-native identity. The core premise was: a 1-day prediction carries full weight, a 300-day prediction becomes worthless. Time precision is the signal.

Memetics

Can holder commitment be measured? Memetics answers this for tokens. Transfer event scanning across Base and Solana, time-weighted average balance, multi-chain heat calculation. The core insight: a wallet that held for a year at 1% of supply burns hotter than one that bought 10% yesterday. Time in the market is the signal.

The formula changed. The principle didn't:
Time is the only signal that can't be faked.
MSP proved it for predictions — short-term accuracy rewarded, long-term hedging punished. Memetics proves it for commitment — sustained holders rewarded, mercenary capital ignored. In both systems, time is what separates signal from noise.

The Heat Formula

Every holder gets a temperature. Not only based on how much they hold — based on how long they've held it. Heat is time-weighted commitment distilled into a single number.

Why it's this simple

Memetics does one thing. It scans Transfer events and converts holding history into heat. That's it. No social feed. No token launcher. No swap aggregator. No gamified quests. One input — time held. One output — temperature.
This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation. A system with ten features is trying to discover what it is. A system with one feature already knows. And because it knows, it can evolve — not by adding surface area, but by deepening what's already there.
